Capacity-building and Sustainable Development

The Asta-Ja Forum logo features Nepal’s national flag atop Mount Everest, symbolizing the nation’s resilience, strength, and aspiration. The upper arc bears the name Asta-Ja Forum Nepal, while the lower arc displays the eight elements of Asta-Ja — Jal (Water), Jamin (Land), Jungle (Forest), Jadibuti (Herbs), Janashakti (Human Power), Janawar (Animals), Jarajuri (Crops), and Jalabayu (Climate) — representing the harmony between nature and humanity. At the mountain’s heart lies the guiding motto “Chetana Punarjagaran ra Samriddhi” (Awakening Consciousness and Prosperity), expressing the Forum’s vision of awakening, renewal, and sustainable national development.
The logo also carries the founding year "2082 B.S.", making the beginning of a transformative national movement guided by the Asta-Ja philosophy.
The Asta-Ja Forum is Nepal's nationwide platform for mobilizing citizens, communities, and institutions to implement Asta-Ja Nepal Vision 2040. Focusing on coordination, collaboration, communication, and action, it transforms the Asta-Ja philosophy into tangible national progress.
The Asta-Ja Forum brings Nepal Vision 2040 to life by engaging communities, institutions, and stakeholders nationwide. Through collaborative planning, coordination, and ongoing feedback, we mobilize collective efforts to achieve sustainable prosperity for Nepal.
Our members are visionaries, innovators, local leaders, and community champions, and the members of the Nepalese diaspora, all united in driving Asta-Ja Nepal Vision 2040 for Nepal. Together, they collaborate across disciplines, regions, and continents to create solutions, inspire action, and transform Nepal's future. From urban centers to rural communities, and from Nepal to Nepali communities around the world, the Asta-Ja Forum embraces diverse voices, ensuring that development is inclusive, participatory, grounded in local realities, and globally connected.
